2801 B.F. Terry Blvd.
Rosenberg, TX 77471
281-344-8623
Q. Who do I pay my taxes to?
A. You will receive a tax bill from the Fort
Bend County (FBC) Tax Assessor/Collector office, even if you live in Harris
County. You should remit the payment to them as indicated on
the bill.
Q. I already pay FBC or Harris County drainage tax, why
do I have to pay taxes for two drainage districts?
A. The Willowfork Drainage District (WFDD/the district) was created to
build and maintain the drainage facilities in the Cinco Ranch area. The tax
is a combination of debt service reduction (pay off bond debt) and ongoing
maintenance
of district facilities. Harris and FBC counties collect taxes from all residents
in their county for drainage.
Q. My taxes are too high, what can I do?
A. Your tax is computed on your appraisal from your county. You can file
for a hearing with your appraiser (Central Appraisal District/CAD). The instructions
for the process is on your appraisal notice. The web address for multiple county
CAD is: http://www.txcountydata.com.
Q. When do the tax bills go out and when are they delinquent?
A. The bills are generally mailed out in the month of October for the current
tax year or as soon as possible. Taxes are delinquent after January 31st of
the following year. For example, 2003 tax bills were mailed in October, 2003
and
will be delinquent after January 31st, 2004.
Q. Is there a homestead exemption from WFDD taxes?
A. Willow Fork Drainage District offers an exemption of $30,000 for taxpayers
over 65 and disabled persons living in the district. You should file for this
exemption with the FBC
Central Appraisal District.
Q. Who should I call to report problems with the drainage
ditches and channels?
A. Call the Cinco Ranch Homeowners Association(281-599-0408) to report
problems. Please be specific as to the nature and location of the problem.
All inquiries will be submitted to the Willow Fork Board in a timely manner.
Q. Who do I contact to get the grass mowed or edged along the
outside of the fence in my backyard?
A. Willow Fork Drainage District (the "District") provides mowing
and maintenance services to the land in and adjacent to the District's drainage
ditches. The District does not maintain, mow, or edge the areas adjacent to
fences next to the District's ditches because those fences are not within the
District's property. All homeowner fences should be located on the homeowner's
property and not within the District's right of way. Any mowing or maintenance
adjacent to fences should be performed by the homeowner
Q. I would like to attend a District meeting, when and where
are they held?
A. The District holds a meeting on the Second Thursday

The meeting starts at 11:30 AM; Meeting Notices are posted monthly at the Cinco Ranch Homeowners Association office at 3022 Windemere Park Lane Katy TX 77494, in the Harris County Courthouse and in the Fort Bend County Courthouse. the Right of Way (ROW) as the access for a pool or other remodeling
project, who do I contact?

to any homeowner that uses these ROW. Use of motorized vehicles is strictly
prohibited on all district properties.
