Railroad Exhibit

It’s hard to imagine today that a railroad once ran straight through Willow Fork Park, yet in 1875, the Texas Western Narrow-Gauge Railroad traveled through the greater Katy area as far west as Sealy, transporting cotton to Houston right across where the park is today.

The exhibit, which is located on the other side of the lake from the pavilion, features historically correct railroad rails, ties and spikes. A special audio feature also plays the railroad’s history in multiple languages when scanning a QR code posted on signage at the exhibit.

Come see and hear for yourself!
